Sampling campaign starts now!
The sampling campaign of MaxRoot-C starts now! We will determine roots biomasse of 10 winter wheat varieties across Europe. Our first stop will be in Szekkutas, Hungary, where both sampling teams, Thünen and Agroscope, will meet to guarantuee a harmonized sampling approach.
First root samples
The first root samples have been taken for the MaxRoot-C project. We have 15 different winter wheat varieties growing in 11 different countries all across Europe. We want to optimize the variety selection towards increased root biomass while not compromising yield and yield stability.
